Correct anti-sieze?
I went shopping for anti-sieze compound. Having limited experience with aluminum components, I read the labels on a bunch of products and am now totally confused.:confused: I'd appreciate everyone's thoughts on the best all-round anti-sieze that will work on the aluminum heads, spinners, etc.

The Permatex product in the grey/silver can is what I use. It comes with a brush inside to make it a little easier to apply to your spinners without getting it all over your hands. In my opinion, the trick is to not see how damn hard you can bang on your spinners. If you keep laying into those spinners whack after whack with the lead hammer after they have made contact, no anti-sieze will save you.

OK, I guess I didn't phrase my question well enough; I have very little experience with aluminum engine components. I want to check the spark plugs, which I assume were installed by Ford when the engine was built. What, if any anti-sieze should I use on the plugs when I reinstall them in the GT 40 heads? And would the same product be acceptable for other aluminum applications on the car?

I use Copslip ( I am not sure about the spelling ) on the threads for spark plugs and any other 'electrical to ground' device. It is a grease that is imbedded with copper balls ( very very small ). It works great for me.

Speedy, the Spinner Eaze will also work GREAT for plugs in alloy or iron heads! It has a *very* high heat resistance and hold up very well and perform even better.
