OUR demand will dictate THEIR response

I sent an inquiry to American Racing Wheels and received the following today:

Greetings!

Thank you for your interest in American Racing!

At least for 2006, there are no plans to introduce a production pin drive version of the Torq Thrust. However, there are some discussions about offering a "custom" version on a limited basis, maybe in 2007.

I hope this information helps!

Sincerely,

American Racing

Limited basis may be enough to take car of most of us here. I would definately be interested if they decided to do so. I would hope that they would also provide enough clearance for larger brakes & cobra friendly sizes & offsets!

At Sema last Nov they indicated they would have them in production by June '06 as they foresaw a marketable "need/want" for this type of wheel for vintage cars and repros. That was the info I got from a couple of their reps.

Might be they reconsidered the marketable aspects since Nov.
