Tie rod end problem

I have a Mustang II frontend and when I try to tighten the tie rod end castlenut the entire shaft is turning. I could sure use some suggestions on how to stabilize the shaft in order to get the nut tightened. Any help would sure be appreciated.

Thanks!

I have used a small hydraulic bottle jack with a soft block of wood as a cushion between the jack and the bottom of the tie rod end. Gently apply pressure with the jack as you begin to tighten the castle nut. You should reach a point where the nut turns and the tie rod end stops turning.
