how to remove the steering wheel

I have a superformance with the original wood rimmed moto lita wheel. I have the leather wrap wheel and I need to removed the center cover cap. I am not sure whether it screws on or just needs to be popped out. Any advice would be appreciated. It looks like the center cap just gets snapped into place but i wanted to check before I damage it trying to remove.

Thanks,
Frankym

You're right, the center cap just pops out to reveal the steering nut that holds the wheel on.

You can use a credit card, on the outside of the column, to pop off the emblem. Once the emblem is off, the nut is exposed. ..There is the start of a bad joke..............

thanks

That's great, I appreciate the help, i think I'll try using a cedar shim to wedge it out without marring the finish.
