lift-the-dot snap installation tool help
I had a post on here about installing the lift-a-dot snaps in a tonneau cover and the post has disappeared, I've tried doing searches but no luck. Someone posted a site listing a tool on the thread to punch the holes in the cover and I need to order one. If you know the site to find the tool will you please re-post it for me? Thanks.

Lift a dot punch
Doug,
I remember that thread and I archived the add for the punch. http://www.rochfordsupply.com/produc...SubCatID_E_448 Cheers, Bryan |
I used a hole punch from a hobby shop, it was for punching holes in leather, I think it was 1/4 inch dia. had to use a small piece of board and a mallet, I cut the holes and then I made small slits for the tabs on the snaps to go through, should have carried the thing to a trim shop, of course mine was a complete top and I am sure much harder to handle

Thanks again for all the help guys!

I installed all my snaps with a leather punch & curved razorknife blade for the slits. The toughest part was bending the tabs. Turned out pretty good. Waiting for a warm day to fit it to the windshield....

Exposed Webers and a Cabriolet Top. Sex at most flagrant Southern California style. Those Beach Chicks will fall for anything! Do they sit on the soft top hoops while you cruise around?
