Clutch Help

I have decided to change out my 11" hayes lever clutch to a diaphram clutch & need advice as to which manufacturers assembly to replace it with.
I have a steel wheel, Lakewood bellhousing, Top loader with a Tilton hydraulic throw out bearing.
I have already tried one manufacturer & did not have enough adjustment in the bearing to obtain the proper freeplay, the clutch fingers were to high.
I would really like to not have to go through the process of elimination or making a spacer for the transmission if there is a assembly out there with low fingers that will fit properly.
Anyone who has "been there, done that" that can help me solve this dilema would be appreciated.
Thanks
Craig

I have a similar setup and used the 11" Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch; and the Tilton bearing. About 23k miles and there is literally no wear. Just rebuilt the engine and measured the clutch plate. This includes some open track time. I believe the part number is DF 7000000.

Hi Craig,

Take a look at this thread in the Transmission Talk forum.

Good information, links to manufacturers and some part number recommendations.
