I've got a leaking Trigo, any thoughts?
Hey Guys:
One of my original Trigos has developed a leak. It goes right through the metal. You can't see any hole, but you can see it bubble. Any thoughts on how to fix this guy? Has anyone else had this problem? I'd rather not use an innertube.

Chase the crack & weld it. I would probably want to send it back if I could.

You might want to try that Slime stuff as a short term solution to seal up the wheel. I probably won't last for a real long time, though. For a more permanent solution I would think you could have the tire dismounted from the rim and apply a coat of epoxy to the inside of the wheel. One good way to make sure it will seal completely is to heat the wheel with a heat gun or hair dryer until it is almost too warm to handle with your bare hands, then apply the epoxy until it won't take any more. This will force the epoxy to thin out and be drawn into the pores of the aluminum and seal them. Once it dries for the recommended time, recoat with 2 or 3 coats of the epoxy and it should be pretty permanent.
Of course, the best idea is to contact Trigo and see if they will replace the wheel. Sounds like a warranty issue to me.

If it is a slow leak, get the rim shot peened. These are cast wheels and are porous. The shot peening usually seals them. Or you can paint the inside area.

Bob, I had a very similar situation. Couldn't find the leak, but could see a small bubble. Call Lynn at Trigo. I sent mine back and he sealed it.

no need to send back ,it is a common problem in cast wheels. Find the leak from th einside of the wheel and smear a small amt of RTV silicone to spot,works like a champ

I agree with ENTDOC. My new SPF wheel was porous. Silicone applied on the inside stopped the leak, though SPF were happy to replace the wheel after that.

I spoke with Linn at Trigo two hours ago. If I can't get it fixed he said to send it back and he would take care of it.

We paint the inside of every Trigo wheel with epoxy before the tire is mounted. (Duh!)
