Ford Windsor/Jerico spigot/pilot bearing?
My new SKF ballbearing pilot bearing, has been installed flush with the crankshaft, nice interference tap in fit with a socket, I could drive it in another maybe 1/4" or more until it comes up on a shoulder. My transmission spigot shaft has enough length, if I were to go that extra distance!
Does it matter, or maybe the bearing I have which is for the Jerico at 11mm wide and 15mm center hole, is quite a bit narrower than the original Ford item, and should go up hard to hold it on the end to truly make sure its square? |
