Yet Another Accusump Question
I saw a reference about Hal having a problem with the electric valve orientation, but I can't find the thread. I know the valve is a one way design. There is a small arrow embossed on the bottom. Which direction is the arrow supposed to point? There is NO reference to this in the Accusump instructions. How lame is that. What happen's if it's installed in the wrong direction?

According to this web site, the arrow points away from the Accusump.

Beenthere,
I can't see the arrow on the electric valve but the selonoid is away from the Accusump and toward the engine. The valve is designed to fill even w/o power applied. If you reveresed the direction it would not hold pressure and you could only fill it when the valve was open. Turning it around won't destroy anything but it won't work as planned either. Well, the only mention I see about the arrow is in the troubleshooting section. I have it installed in the right direction. It still is behaving in an odd manner. The accusump will not fill unless the switch is OFF. (yes I checked the switch with a meter). Once the sump is full it prelubes fine when I turn the ignition on and the accusump switch is ON. Engine fires but accusump does not fill. I turn the switch OFF and the accusump fills. I'm stumpted.
