I have had these just a little while and have traveled the knock off trail of horrors.....and let's say I am in need of replacements

so who does stainless steel spinners or nuts, not winged?

thanks

Is there any benefit to the large nut with the wrench over the tri wing spinners? any opinions. I am going to buy one or the other, just wondering if there were any "technical" issues with the large nut.

thanks again

From what I hear the six sided nuts are not available from them any more.
I don't know for sure because I called them three times two weeks ago to order some wing nuts, leaving messages on their answering machine and nobody has called me back yet. Nice.

Trigo sells stainless spinners also.

The large nuts are for Ricers:3DSMILE: Actually I was going to post both of the above mentioned suppliers but I came in dead last!:(

Buzzmobile 06-08-2006 07:58 PM

so, most likely the nuts are not available...? hmm, I would have liked to use them...just more in my comfort level to turn something than to HIT it

and the dang triwing tool is 150 bucks....

geeze, maybe I need to back to lug nuts (smiles)

I think Accurate Machine Products makes them also.

RedCSX1 06-08-2006 10:42 PM

Buzz I think SPF makes their own spinner (knock off)

And I am of the opinion that they are not as beefy as the Trigo Knock offs. May be you can compare them side by side before you return the one you have to Shelby.

Buzzmobile 06-08-2006 10:55 PM

I am in agreement, from what I have seen today, the SPF are not up to the standard that the guys from SA loaned me...

that is why I was after stainless steel spinners....always in the search for things buzz proff (smiles). Few things are. I can break dang near anything!

from what I can tell, there are cast aluminum, forged aluminum and then stainless steel.....

Talk to Bob at Opperations Plus if you are interested in the SS Nuts. I bought one of 2 remaining sets a few months ago. They / Accurate, is not producing them at this time, I was told. You may be able to snag the last remaining set if still available. They're SS spinners are available in polished and un polished.

BTW, are all these different brands the same size with the same thread pitch? Can I mess up and get the "wrong" one? I have the SPF brand adapters.

Enzo at Finish Line has the stainless knockoffs; he advertises here on the site but for some reason I couldn't get the link to work today:

http://www.cobraaccessories.com/

He sells them either matte finish or polished.

Buzzmobile 06-23-2006 07:01 PM

Chopper,

I found these, but they are aluminum. Are you seeing something I missed?

http://www.cobraaccessories.com/cata...roducts_id=261

I can't get a response from operations plus.

chopper 06-24-2006 12:11 PM

Um, no, you're not missing anything. The label says "Spinner, Assembly in SS.-"

These are the ones you want, in stainless steel.

I had a set of these on my car before I sold it. First class products and Enzo/Paula are great people to work with.

BTW, if you don't have a spinner tool:

http://www.cobraaccessories.com/cata...roducts_id=263

you may wish to get one. You'll also need a 4-foot long, 1" diameter cold rolled steel bar to go with it, available from any metal fabrication shop.

Buzzmobile 06-24-2006 02:37 PM

I see, I did miss the SS part....gotcha. Thanks, that helps a bunch
