Trigo or Vintage Wheels

CCM,

I am getting prepared to buy a new set of wheels for the CCX. I want the knock off style with blasted centers for original look. Both companies offer blasted centers with their products. However, if I go 15" FIA style Vintage do not offer so Trigo will be the wheel of choice.

Does anyone have a bias for either wheel manufacturer? Mickmate has told me that Vintage wheels are hub centric and Trigos are not. I have determined that Trigo are made in USA and Vintage South Africa.

Anyone have opinions regarding these two choices for wheels? Preferences Halibrand or FIA style for 427 boby car?

Thanks,
Jeff

PSE are far superior to either.

The Vintage wheels are very nice. The powder coating is well done and the price ain't bad either.

CCM,

Does PSE have a website?

Anyone else have any thoughts or comments.

I'm curious why some people say Trigos are poor quality. I have Trigos on my CSX, had them on my KMP, and had them on my FFR. I never saw any indication of poor quality. Also, Trigo's are OE wheels on new Shelbys, Kirkhams, and optional wheels for pin drive setups on other brands. And many original cars have Trigos on them. Just curious why the bad rap.

I've been looking for a web site as well--no luch yet. Here's a link, however, to the ERA pin drive comparison info page: http://www.erareplicas.com/fia/wheels.htm

Both Vintage and Trigo are one piece forged aluminumn, very high quality, with exceptional service. Comparable prices. Trigo have forged spinners; that is optional on the Vintage. Vintage offers a 17" so you could have two sets of rims; 15" and 17". Trigo and Vintage have different adapters so the rims are not interchangeable.

If you want pin drive rims, you would be very happy with either.
