What torque Spec

I have the RAM alooominum flywheel on order for my sbf. Anyone know what the torque is to the crank and for the pressure plate to the flywheel. I think that alooominum flywheels requre less torque. Does anyone know the actual specs. Will RAM provide this info with the clutch?

If you do not have this do yourself a favor, Ford makes and used a steel ring about 4" in diaameter that had six holes in it and went under the bolt heads to secure the flywheel or flex plate. It prevents the bolt heads from galling the aluminum. Suggest you not use the sometimes provided star washers, use red locktite torque to about 60-65# in a cris cross pattern.

Rick,

Any idea the PN or the year make of car that I can refer to. Without that info, I can envision a lot of blank looks from the Ford parts dept people.

thanks

Just have them look up anything late model with an automatic and 302, or 351 it should be easily obtained or go to wreckers. Good parts guy should know the part.
