Fan Schroud, Over heating fix?

I' am trying to bring my water temp down of about 10 degree, I probably will end up running a set of dual fan, but does a fan schroud should be the way to go first? does anyone knows the effeciency of it and if it really help cooling?
Thanks for your input.

I bought a flex-a-lite "black magic 150" and I could not believe the difference. Not only does it have a larger cfm but, the shroud is fantastic. All the incoming air now goes through the fan. With the temps yesterday of 103 deg's, the water temp never got over 200 in traffic. (I do have a 160 thermostat though, for summer heat) In previous years, I wouldn't even attempt driving it this heat. Anyway, yes........build or buy a shroud, it will help out tremendously !

That's correct. Summit is where I buy most of my parts. Type in Flex-a-lite. The blk. magic also comes with a adjustable, fan probe thermostat. Works great. I suggest buying the stainless probe.
