Overheating
Not my car - just me!! It is 10:30 here in DFW and still 95 degrees. If this don't change I will be doing my driving at midnight. I am used to driving my car several times a week and last Saturday I had to give up on it and put it away at noon - it was already 100!!
I am ready to drive:CRY:

Drove back from Pasadena Monday up I-5 through the San Joaquin valley. Started out at 75 degrees at 6 am. By 11 am it was 105 in Coalinga with 3 more hours to go. I was like a piece of beef jerky in the drivers seat when I finally got home at 1:30 pm. Gotta say, I'll never do that again at those temps! 80 mph at 105 degrees.

That would be a cool day in Phoenix. It is so hot here that the rain never hits the ground in town. It boils and evaporates before it hits the ground at 115 degrees.

...but it's a DRY heat! Around here when it gets over 95 it gets so muggy you need a rudder on your car.

Amen to that...

When it is 115' like today is suppose to be, it doesn't matter. You get into the car and your ass attaches to the seat and bonds like super glue. Then your hands get burned from touching the steering wheel. Your rear view mirror has started to melt. Your engine is over heating & you can hear it bubbling even though you have not started your engine. The bugs on your windshield are smoking as if they are on a grill being broiled......yes it is a dry heat!

Fitz
Any car shows around tonight, even though I don't have the side windows in (so I can't use the A/C) I'm up for a cruise.
