Cable operated clutch lever not holding up

2200 miles on the car and I'm on my third cable. Extremely hard to depress the pedal. I have a hayes clutch and pressure plate. In fact it's so hard to press the pedal to the floor that the pedal cluster housing is distorting. I would love to switch to a slave cylinder set up. I have a Mcleod scattershield from Forte with a TKO. Not much clearance on the fire wall to mount anything there. Does anyone know of a remote mounted slave cylinder? Remember little or no room on the firewall. Help a brother out

Call Forte and see if he has something that might work. He has a lot of that kind of stuff.

Called Forte three times, unable to speak to a person, left a message twice. I think I'll change the cable one last time and look into trading the car in for something like the new Challenger. That way my left knee won't look so much larger in shorts!

Got a hold of Mike at Forte's this afternoon. No firm fix as of yet. Anyone have any pictures of a "Home Made" master cylinder actuator. My pedal is from a Mustang II cluster
