Inertia Activated Fuel Cut-Off Switch
Anybody know of sources for an inertia fuel pump cut-off switch? Some posts have indicated they are readily available from junk yeards, but I'm more inclined to install a new one. I've checked the usual suspects (Summit, Jegs, etc.) and only found one for about $65 from Pegasus.

I had the same thought when I built, only my searach for new OEM switches were all over $100.
All late model Fords use them; I found a brand new totaled Ford sedan and got it for $5. They are usually located in the rear side panel at the rear. Works perfectly . gn |
I bought one through Ron Franscis Wire Works. I mounted it to the drivers door front hinge post. Where I figured it would be most likely to be needed and reachable for reset. I also installed a Flaming River multi function master switch in the middle of the dash so I and anyone else could reach it. Twist to engage and bump inward to disconnect. I can't remember where but I do remember EM mounting their fuel cutoff switch some where clever.

Matt;
Did you try any of the fuel cell builders? Bill Stradtner |
