Ceramic coating
I am trying to find a local ceramic coater (Saint Louis) and am having problems locating a company.
Is ceramic coating done by powder coat companies, or what type company profile am I looking for? Anyone know of a coater in Missouri or Illinois? Thanks Paul |
There is Aesthetic Finishers in Ohio. They have done good work for me.

If you find a local co. to do yours, be sure to check references. I was in the same boat and discovered that Jet-Hot and Airborne coatings are the only ones worth anything. The local guys use a inferior product like Chrome-X or some other brand just so they can say "we do ceramic coating". They don't have the same warranty. In fact, the local place here said if you break in a motor with a flat tappet cam (2500 RPM for 20 mins.) they will discolor and possibly peel. I called Jet-Hot and they said they've never had that problem but it is common with the cheap crap. I'm shipping mine to them. Good luck.

Paul,
I had the exauhst manifold and 1st stage downpipe on my 60' Healy ceramic coated both inside and out by a company in Minnesota. Really nice work and fairly priced, I was unable to find anyone who performed this type of work here in our area. This work was done a few years ago so there may be a newer or startup company I am unaware of...........if you want the name of the Minnesota company let me know. Mark |
