Hood Hinge Delamination

I have a FFR; the flat metal hinge strap is beginning to pull loose from the underside of the hood. What's the best way to re-attach?

How is it currently attached? Bonded or Rivited?

How about some nice button head bolts in the pattern of the original?

Mike,
It's not riveted, but I don't know what it was bonded with.

Carnut427 09-20-2006 09:19 PM

I don't know anything about FFRs, but hood hinges are generally bolted onto the hood.

Many people that own FFR like to bond their hood hinge instead of rivit. Mines rivited. I would check over on FFcobra.com to see wht is used.

Or do as Roscoe and I suggest get it rivited or button screwed on.

Mike
