Expansion Tank modification

Somewhere, I saw an article or post about cutting the brackets on an expansion tank and rebrazing to get the tank lower. Some questions:

1) Does anyone know the wherebouts of such an article? I've searched hi and lo and can't find anything

2) Info from ERA says the seam of the tank to the center of the top hole should be 4.10 Can anyone confirm this to be correct? I don't have my body yet and hate to solder up a tank to find out I have to do it all over.

Thanks

Paul

Paul, that dimension will fit an ERA...the only way to know if it's right for your car is to see if it fits, as there's different strokes for different folks...

Dan
