Air filter Assembly

Rich P That's a nice setup on your car. You have the same EFI throttle body as my 452 motor. The twm setup is going to be bigger and larger to work. I have a paxton hood so size is not a problem for me, but under the stock hood, clearance problem is going to be there. An air box to all the throttle bodies is not hard to make, but getting a good air flow to the rear bodies is going to be a problem. Air doesn't like to bend around corners. It also makes heat, not alot, but enough. This is why nascar sucks the air from the base of the cowl. Rick Lake

Webers & filters

The velocity stacks for a Cobra FE motor are tilted 10 degrees inward to clear the hood scoop opening and at that the two front ones on the right hand side clear the hood opening by less than an 1/8th of an inch. The front stack sticks about a half inch through the hood opening. You could remove the stacks completely and cob something together but that would be ugly and would defeat the whole purpose of Webers (they look *****en', check out the photo). I have time and money to throw at this which is why I kept the Webers. BUT, I don't want to butcher the hood of my Kirkham and driving around sucking dirt and sand into my $25,000.00 FE is no fun. And I love to drive this car!! I even tried larger (wider) aluminum stacks with a nylon screen over the top and they didn't clear the hood opening and the car ran rich. So the Holly it is for now at least. I could get the hell out of Arizona and move to Seattle where there is no dust. Any other ideas?

Chip move up here! Then you can drive your Kirkham on those few winter days when the roads are dry or during the summer from July 5 to Sept 5:)
