grounding the fuel tank

I would like to know what you guys have to say about grounding the fuel tank. Can I run a ground wire from the metal tank to the frame. Hope this is not overkill but have heard static charges seem to accumulate in these places.

You will probably need it grounded any way for your fuel level sender to work.
Cheers,
Bryan

Gas Tank Ground

What I Did With My Car Was To Run A Wire From Gas Cap Bolts To Gas tank To Frame . Same Way I,ve All My Boats. As Not To Have Static Electricity When Refueling.

Grounding the tank/filler (and other fuel safety tips) currently also being discussed in this thread: http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/shop-talk/74875-fuel-system-safety-items.html.

Cheers,
Mark
