sandwich oil thermostat
I'm toying with the idea of re-routing my oil lines (again) the way it is done works, but pressure aint great, and my accusump isn't t'd in ideally.
I have a remote filter adapter, and was thinking about using the earls thermostat sandwich adapter at the remote filter. 1. Does this work? (I assume so) 2. do these sandwich adapters flow just as well as some other sort of thermostat? 3. is this idea just overall funky-like? Doing it this way, I can remove about 3 90degree bends, and then t in the accusump right at the return. -Nathan |
I have an Earls thermostat sandwich adapter (EAR-502ERL) that wouldn't quite fit in my ERA. Summit sells it for $89.99. I'll sell mine for $70 including shipping if you're interested.

Nathan, if you have the room, two 45* fittings are about half as restrictive as one 90* fitting. If no room, use the "elbow" nineties, they're way smoother too than the standard ninety.

Nathan,
I believe it is Roscoe that has a great set up in his car. He has posted pictures of it before for several people to see how he has it hooked up and he uses the accusump too. mr007 is correct about the 45° fittings and the smoother elbow 90 ° bends. Good Luck Ron :) |
