Timing light
Yesterday I melted the cord on my timing light. NICE. That stuff melts faster than a Hershey Bar on an Arizona summer afternoon! Any ideas on where to find 14/2 silicone high temp jacketed wire similar to lamp cord, but heat resistant?
The wires seem to be attracted to the headers:mad:

Rick,
I work in a factory that has a lot of high temperature applications. There is high temperature wire that can take up around 1000 F. It is white to look at. I'll ask around to see where a normal person might be able to find it.

One of my favorite online stores is McMaster-Carr at www.mcmaster.com . It's a hardware store and the neatest thing about it is the way its products are organized. I just did a quick search in the Electrical, Wire and Cable sections and found high temperature wire in a variety of sizes and insulations. Their prices are reasonable and they deliver very quickly. If you can't find what you want close to home, I suggest you give McMaster a try.

I had thought of them but didn't look hard enough. I think I found it now. Thank you very much.
