Lucas headlight switch wiring
hi There - can anyone tell me how to wire up the lucas 3 position switch (31788) for headlights. Basically I want OFF - park\dash - headlights\dash, but in all my testing I cant figure it out. I think I need to put a jumper over 2 of the terminals perhaps (theres 5 all up).
Cheers.

Be sure to run the actual current for the lamps through relays. Make the switch control only the relay.

Terminal 1: from power source
Terminal 4: To parking and dash lights (you need the parking lights on when the headlights are on)
Terminal 8: To headlight dimmer switch

Thanks SP - for some reason my warped brain was thinking the park should switch off when the headlights were on - but clearly that isnt the case. Got it now - cheers. :)
