Need either new or rebuilt Toploader

Lost the tranny down the back straight on Kansas Speedway. I have a call into David Kee to send a shipping box for a rebuild.

Can anyone share their experience in getting a toploader rebuilt? Not sure whether to just buy a new one, get mine rebuilt, or trade in for a rebuilt one. For what its worth, the gears and synchros on mine look really good. Can't tell for sure, but I think I broke the input shaft where it connects to the mainshaft.

Any advice would be appreciated. By the way, have been waiting for over a week for David Kee to get more poly shipping containers. He said maybe Monday, 9/17.

Are there any other sources for good quality rebuild work?

Thanks for any help at all. Bob

Not to take anything away from David Key but there is another guy that does pretty good work with toploaders. His name is Mark at Toploader Heaven. He is located in Southern Oklahoma.

here is a link to his site: http://www.toploaderheaven.com

I bought a couple of parts for my rebuild of the top loader from Mark, nice guy to deal with.
