Ford 9" rear info

Does anyone have a drawing of proper install of ford 9" axles, including seal, bearing etc.

It has been years since I have done this stuff and not sure of proper installation. I beleive you need to press bearing on axle?

Please help!!

Yes, Check out the todays photos of a bunch of guys standing by a blue cobra with a big building in the back ground. In that grouping of pictures I found a good picture of a Ford 9".

Yes, you have to press the bearings on the axles. The bearings I use have the seal, which is an o-ring, that is set into and around the outer edge of the bearings. I don't recall the bearing part numbers or specs, but I have the information and can probably find it if you need it. If you don't have the tool to press on the bearings, almost any shop can do it for you.

I had a seal that was starting to leak slightly about 4 years ago so I replaced both rear bearings and seals and everything has been dry since.

You can get the part number off your old bearing to order replacements.
Easy fix. Good luck, Bob
