you think you've fabricated parts for cobra
I was surfing and found this guys internet site on a total fabrication of a daytona coupe. It's very detailed and nothing short of amazing. I'm sure some of you have seen it, but I'm sure who hasn't will be very impressed and amazed at his skill in fabrication techniques. The web address is members.aol.com/COUPECHUCK/index.htm. Enjoy and let us know what you think and if anyone knows who this is

I love this site! From time to time I'll go there just to watch the pics of the body fabrication. This really is a piece of art!
What surprised me most when I saw this the first time is that the builder never did aluminum shaping and welding before. These self teaching video tapes he mentions in the introduction really seem to be worth the money. -Simon |
Where have you been hiding??
Scott Have not seen you at Run&Gun in a couple of years? Are you and the car retired??%/ The next one is next OCT, come on out of retirement and have some fun. Besides you are too young to retire anyway.;) Rick Lake I need another white car, I am surrounded by too many red and blue cars.  ;) :)

I was following this build for a while, but no updates since 2004. Last I heard he was driving it but it was not 100% complete.

That was one of the first Cobra related sites I had stumbled on. While not on the same scale or path it was very inspirational for my own desire to build a Cobra.
I have a set of Chuck's roadster plans and they are amazing! :MECOOL: Everyone talks of the Cobra Restorer's blueprints but his are the real deal, down to the brackets. -John |
Hi rick
Sorry I didn' make it to run & gun this year. I told Jay I would make it this year but I went to the Northwoods Joilet meet at Autobaun Country Club and the anchors for the hood hinge bolts pulled out & I had to work up to the night before R&G. I couldn't get it fixed in time and didn't think I wanted to chance getting it fixed in St Louis. So I'm shooting for next year. I'm not retired just yet. I have too much fun driving that little white car! Take care Rick and good hearing from you.

He has driven one of his cars up here a time or two to one of our get togethers and he is really a skilled craftsman and nice guy. And a real stickler for details. Even Ernie would have to like his cars.

Hi Guys,
The beginning of the BACC was when Brent and his bride came to the Bay area to visit......seven years ago...we have been meeting every Saturday since Brent gave us real estate on Club Cobra and we me met the is first time in March of 2000. Here is a link to The BACC web site: http://www.bayareacobraclub.com/ Chucks Daytona is a work of love, demonstration of commitment and pure fun. He has it registered here in California, drives it regularly and it sits in the garage with his original CSX and his slabside. Enjoy the build....he enjoys driving it. BTW he does sell a complete set of engineering/build blueprints that were mentioned above. Tony R. |
