color pictures of seatbelts

I'm getting up the curage to spend some dough on new belts for both driver and passenger seats. I had TeamTech Motorsports belts in mind for a few years. I've setteled on their RamPac harness 5 point w/rotary release buckle and snap-in ends. I have color and combination options. Harness straps, cushion pads, pull loops, release tabs, and stiching. I'm looking for some inspiration here. Do you have any color pictures of what you'd consider atractive belt color combinations?

I'm kinda partial to basic black!

One thing I did, and I wonder how many others have done the same, was to use a small x-acto knife to carefully cut every stitch around the manufacturer's labels and take them (and the stitching) completely off the seatbelts to leave them just basic black.

Glyn;
I thought about that myself. I have Crows and the label is huge.

Mine look the same in both color and black & white.

I would refrain from cutting the labels off the belts. I used an Exacto Knife and cut them out of my R-model. It took a LONG time to do it and they never did look right. Even after a couple of years you could still see the stitching holes. I have Simpson in my Cobra and like them. The labels are going to stay.

I didn't see any pads under the sternum strap, Is that correct? I see the shoulder strap(s) go through the rear bulkhead. Are they "Y"d or two single straps going through the same single grommet to their anchor? May I ask what harness model you started with? How do you like them? Would you change anything about them?

jwoodard 02-21-2008 07:15 AM

Mike H,

There is a padded sternum strap, you can see it in the picture if you look real close. Look at the latching mechanism in the drivers seat and you should be able to see the pad.
The shoulder straps aren't "Y'd", they are two single straps going through the same bulkhead opening and attaching to one single point on a frame member. I don't know about the model name, the brand is TeamTech. I special ordered them through a local shop here in Ft. Worth so the straps would be made to length based on my measurements.
I am very pleased with the harness and there isn't anything I would change. Beside the design I liked these because I could custom order the colors to match my car. The yellow on the straps matches the yellow stripe across the nose of my car.

I was hoping for more of a veriety of colors. I have older black Simpson latck link belts in a black interior and black traditional seats. Three responses and they are all black. They all look good and I could go with that, but I'd like to look at more color possibilities and combinations.
