Clutch Master cylinder
Hello,
On my cobra, it had a master cylinder for the clutch that has a 1" bore. I wanted to go with a Wilwood master, but I see the largest bore they go up to is .750". Is it possible to use this master if the stroke is long enough to put enough fluid in the slave cylinder to release the clutch correctly? Thanks. |
Wilwood and others make a 1" master, just not in the reverse flow design. Is it impossible to change to something like this?

I had that problem with my Tilton set. The master was the wrong diameter and the slave was too. I called Tilton and a very nice guy with a name I can't spell right suggested the correct parts combination and it works fine now.
I have the Tilton Hydro T/O bearing which, so far, has not leaked. If I had all the parts to make it an external, that's what I would do. Paul |
