Air Compressor Suggestions
Hi Guys,
I am looking for an air compressor for my garage. I just need it for light duty occasional use. I can't afford and don't have the room for one of the big ones. The most I will probably run is a 1/2 impact air gun. I should have gotten one when I built my car!
I saw a few 17, 26 & 30 gallon compressors at Sears, Lowes and Home Depot. Unfortunately or fortunately I read their reviews and now I am more confused:eek:. Some say they are great and the next one says they are a piece of junk and break soon after the warranty is up.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd buy one of those small portable $100 craftsman compressors for light duty service. I have a bigger compressor, and 2 air impact wrenches, but I find I use my RIGID electric 1/2" impact wrench more often, and suggest to get that instead of an air wrench. Buy a set of good impact sockets.

I've got two. One is a 22 gallon vertical and the other is one of those little squat portables. They service many air tools and nail guns. Plus I use them to close my pool and blow out my in ground sprinkler system. Neither takes up much room.
