Spal fan question
 
I have a SPAL fan mounted on my radiator and have just discovered that when you hook the red wire to positive it pulls air. Since it is on the front side of the radiator I need it to push air. The blades are a flat design and I have been told that I can just reverse the wiring and it will work. Is this the case?? Or will this hurt the fan motor??

It won't hurt the motor (DC current) but the fan will not be very efficient with the blades pushing air in lieu of pulling. The fan is intended to be mounted on the "engine" side of the radiator.

SPAL has both pull and push models, is it a matter of just reversing the blades?? I will have to take a look at mien and see if I can move it to the back side/motor side of the radiator but don't think there is enough room........
