Well what I thought was my hydraulics was not. Turns out I have a two fingered assembly now that one finger is broke. The clutch wouldn't disengage because it was getting held up by the broken finger. I'm not sure what the extent of repair will be just yet but I should know on Monday. No Cobra cruisin' for me this weekend.

Oh! Sounds like one of the release levers on the Long style pressure plate fractured. 2 of the 3 levers contacting the T/O bearing. Time for partial clutch job or actually maybe just repair the pressure plate. Trans and bellhousing have to be removed, then take off the pressure plate and assess the damage.

Still waiting for parts, new clutch disc and pressure plate. Expecting them tomorrow with my fingers crossed. Now with the toploader out of the car I asked my trans guy to look and see why shifting from 3rd to 2nd there was grinding. Well it looks like my toploader is pretty well wore out. Lots of wear on the synchro teeth in all gears. One thing sure leads to another. YeeeeHawwww.

It's just another way to enjoy your car(from the bottom)and spend the kids inheritance......

SHHHHHH! My car is not a money pit...My car is not a money pit...My car is not a money pit. I am sure there will be something nice left for the kids. They can have the car (all fixed up) and share it.
