Mr. Miller has all the information on the car and it is published in the Registry. The vehicle is also listed in the Book of Norman...it's simplty not fully populated in the original text due to the book being dated. Mr. Miller just didn't know who owned it until I forwarded all the information to him. Now he knows the rest of the story...

I always thought of the Tiger as the Cobra's half brother. Hard not to appreciate both cars.

That is the good stuff right there! It's as well it was stored for so long when you look at the rusty one next to it huh. I drove an Alpine with the 1725 Hillman (English Chrysler) dual Stromberg, electric overdrive on 3rd and 4th. I would definetely have bought it if it had that sweet small block set up. Jim Beals on here has one I hope he sees this thread. Good work, tell Dad enjoy!

Hmmm, my Kirkham seems a good match for mine!
Sunbeamtiger65 - your Mom had a great smile in that video clip - bet your
Dad did too even though you couldn't see him. Great car and even better
story. I love happy endings.

I just received my Tiger Tracks (STOA monthly mag) this evening. What a co-inky-dink. The car looks great. Congrats to your Mom and Dad.

This is incredible, a beautiful car. I have a 1965 Tiger that I bought in the 1986. It's currently painted red, but originally black. I wish it looked like your dads. No where close!

I've always wanted a Cobra, since I was 17 or 18 in the late 70's. My first car was a 65 Mustang Fastback that I bought when I was 19. Still have it. Bought the Tiger when I graduated from college. Cobra wana-be. Finally pushing 50 I bought my Kirkham which is pretty much my dream car. Thanks for sharing your dads car. Love those V8 sports cars!

Neat video of your Tiger. It reminds me of my brothers Sunbeam back in 1966, he bought the car new when he returned from Vitnam mostly because it had a Ford motor in it. His was green with the 260 cid engine, the first thing he did was go drag race it. Next he put big fat tires in the back, side pipes, a 4 barrel carb and super low gears in the rearend. Back to the race track in San Fernando Valley...much fun beating up on unsuspecting corvettes.
Later traded the car to our Dad, who later traded it for a nice El Camino...I wonder where that car is today?

Really brings back memories of my first and only Tiger. I bought a '64 back in 1972 for $1100 from a guy in Walnut Creek, CA. 260 V-8 with 2 barrel carb. Dark green in color with Panasport-like wheels. I always enjoyed the V-8 sound from such a little car. Went brave one summer and took a vacation through Tijuana to Ensenada and back to Bay Area. Drove the non-pay road back from Ensenada and the road gave me a whole new meaning to rattles and squeaks I never knew I had. Got very lucky and never needed to pull out the tool bag I took along with me however. Sold the car a few years later for $1700.
