Evap. canister
Hello,
I am looking for an engine to rebuild and I live in Connecticut. The DMV in CT states that the emmisions required must match the year of the engine. I found a 1971 302 and for that year I need a PCV valve, Variable advance distributor, Evap. canister and thermostatic air cleaner or air injection system. What is involved with installing an evap. canister? Is it something easy or should I pass and look for a pre70s block? I'd like to keep everything as simple as possible. Thanks |
There are a lot of 60's 289's out there. Keep your eyes out on EBAY & I'm sure you'll come across one within driving distance before long. You may already know this but the 6bolt bellhousing blocks make finding a scattershield easier. 1965 & up they were always 6bolt
