351 vs 289 Dual Plane Firing Order

As the firing orders are different, will the Blue Thunder 289 Cobra Hi Rise dual plane manifold give maximum performance on a 302 block with a stroker crank that uses the 351 firing order? In theory dual plane runners are sequential so as each intake runner is 180 degrees apart in the firing order. I know it will fit, it's just getting maximum flow that concerns me.

It should work fine with the 351W firing order which is what most of the cams are using now.

Good luck, Keith

If you are really concerned , you could put in dual O2 sensors and check for exhaust gas readings.

idle , off idle , 1000,1500,2000, -- - -on up.

Thanks

Thanks to both. Steve, you're right. I should do that as it will tell if pulse reversion is starving certain banks/cylinders.

so will a plug check---no welding, no buying more parts/tools that cost more than the cam/manifold
