Now that I think of it, it you put 302 crank rods and pistons into a 351 with its taller deck, you would end up with about 3:1 compression. This cant be accurate.

Paul F. Several years ago I told a person that and they actually wanted to come see the property. I had to explain it several times that I was just yanking his chain. But for the grace of God. I really liked the guy and kind of felt sorry about it.............

I went to Autozone to get some parts for a 69 mustang with a 351 windsor. They said that only the the 351 cleveland was available in 69. I would have asked them outside to show them but I don't they would know by looking. I used to have a guy at a local NAPA that knew his stuff, but he's retired now. Jim

I would have guessed about 4 to 1, didn't have time to calculate it out.........You wouldn't need much of a starter to turn that thing over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:LOL::LOL:

Especially at Auto Zone, so, when I need a gasket (they usually have all the Fel Pros in stock) for my 331 race moder, I just tell the rocket sciencetist behind the counter I need a part for my 1990 5.0 Mustang, then I get the gasket with no hassles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!**)**)

I have a triple 4 bbl intake that fits that motor that Paul has if anybody is interested....
and i just found all 18 liftetrs that go with the factory HI-POOO cam....

Actually, if the PEP boys had emigrated from Aussie to the USA they might have been justified in the 302/351 thing since the Aussies created a 302 cleveland from the 351 cleveland with a 3.00" crank & 6.025" rods, but all you guys already knew that didnt you:):)... sounds like the Pep boyz is a lot like the local equivalent, REPCO, an unfortunate moniker when you think about it... rip every poor **** off.:).

Engine displacement is determined from the bore and stroke of an engine's cylinders. The bore is the diameter of the circular chambers cut into the cylinder block.

Examples: The 427 Chevy bore is 4.312 in, and the stroke is 3.65 in, therefore the displacement for this 8-cylinder engine is:
3.1416/4 * 4.3122 * 3.65 * 8 = 426.4 CID.
If the bore is 10 cm and the stroke is 5 cm with 4 cylinders, the calculation is:
3.1416/4 * 102 * 5 * 4 = 1570 cm3 ≈ 1.5 liters
