P51 Paint Job?

I've been thinking about a P51 paint job as an alternative to what I had planned, has anyone actually done one on a 427 replica roadster? I've seen Buzz's concept here http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/all-...a-concept.html, there is also another one on the FFR forum. As for what P51 paint scheme to go after, seems Jack Roush's Old Crow or Chuck Yeager's Glamorous Glen III are the popular choices. Personally I would like to go with George Preddy's Cripes A' Mighty (read his WW2 bio!) but the blue nose poses a problem aesthetically imo. The Roush & Yeager P51's seem to be much better suited for transfer to a cobra, but with a little license I could make the Preddy layout work. What's the consensus in general for a P51 look, go for it or maybe not such a good idea?

Edit: If I did do it, the context would be in honor of that pilot as well as all our WW2 vets. (my Dad was one)
