What do these numbers mean????????
My block is supposedly a 1989 5.0 block.....on the rear top side drivers side are stamped the following;
JF101704 What do they indicate??????????? |
VIN number of the car the block was in ????
|
It's probably 1F101704
The 1 is 1991, F is Dearborn plant, 101704 is the consecutive unit number matching the VIN of the car it came from. You'll probably find a F1SE-6015-AA also stamped above the starter area, on the right side bellhousing ear of the block will be the exact date code the block was cast. I looked at one today that was 0K20, which translates to 1990 October 20 casting production. |
