That sound! CSX2345...

Bob Bondurant fires up his 1964 FIA 289 Cobra at the 2014 Colorado Concours d'Elegance & Exotic Sports Car Show at Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, CO on June 8th, 2014.

The sound makes my neck hair rise! Is it high compression or just wild cam that makes the awesome sound?

Sweet sound for sure.

tkb289 10-09-2014 08:26 PM

Sounds as good as it looks ... awesome ... :D

Beautiful! Watch the guy in the white shirt jump back when Bob fires it up - looks like he got a hot air blast from the exhaust.

Nothing wrong with the way yours sounds Jeff. Just should have "excercised" it a little more for us like you did in the third video.

Not to hijack the thread, but aside from the sound, love the color, too. I know you have probably identified it somewhere in your build thread, but if you don't mind could you repeat it here (ie., by gold color name, paint code, manufacturer, etc.). Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

It is Hertz Gold
Matched to 3021............. slight difference than original as it has different flake

Thanks Jeff...I had seen the Hertz gold in your info block, but for some reason I had thought Hertz was darker. Maybe it was from seeing a gold stripe on a Hertz Mustang and it just gave that illusion since it was just the stripe and not the whole car. At any rate, I prefer the lighter hue of yours is why I asked. I also had noticed 3021 in your gallery....quite an inspiration to follow.

While it's not quite as radical, I love this sound just as much! Especially those solid lifters!
