Craft Performance 650HP SBF 427
Just thought you guys might like this build that is a little out of the box. The SBF 427 will be a going in a Superformance Cobra and our customer was looking for something a little more radical than our typical 585hp Crate Engine. We wanted something that would be a little more choppy down low yet still "drive-able" for a street car. This is a 10:1 compression pump gas engine w/ a small solid street roller camshaft (smooth lobes for lifter longevity), Our cnc Brodix Track 1 225cc heads w/ Comp Springs Ferrea Hollow Stem Valves, and Manley Titanium Retainers, port matched Edelbrock Victor Jr intake, Quick Fuel Q series Carburetor, lightweight ATI Damper, and T&D Shaft mount rockers. This engine made Max 651.1 hp @ 6500rpm and Max 603.1 ft/lbs torque @ 4800rpm. It actually kept a fairly nice torque curve throughout the pull. This thing should be a blast to drive, FE power w/ the weight of a small block.

Nice!!

Wow, very impressive.
What kind of cost are we looking at for something like this? I could use some more hp. |
Go FE Dan! C'mon!
|
Nice piece.

Agree - quite nice power density considering the compression ratio and sounds like it has plenty of torque below 4800 also which should make it nice to drive.

This engine was about $15k, complete carb to oil pan.
