Sbf Cam source to for weber 48ida
Hello I am looking for source for a roller cam with profile suited to 289 with weber 48ida intake. I spoke to comp cams and they do not offer the inglese #31-491-8 any more. Any recommendations would be appreciated thanks jerry

Lumpy, a few years ago, I talked to Lunati and they fixed me up with what I needed. You'll need to know your engine specs info before talking to them.

I had spoke with Jim Inglese about a year ago and he said they were avail thru him.

www.customfordcams.com I will also say this.... If you hear anyone tell you that you need a 113-114-115 LSA "because you have Webers", turn around and find someone familiar with camshafts. |

Part number 368021 Grind number R-234/3335-2-12 Duration @ .050 intake 234, exhaust 244, advertised duration IN 298 EX 308, Valve lift 534 for both. It’s for 1962-up Ford Mercury 221- 302. It’s fairly hot but very streetable. This is a solid roller cam. If you work out the numbers the lobe separation works out to 112 degrees (if that is important to you). I also run a custom Roush roller mechanical fuel pump encentric. Here is a pic of the cam card and my set-up. Okay on your reply. I worked off Jim Inglese’s baseline jetting he suggested 10+ years ago. I’ve had numerous in-depth conversations well before he moved to Florida. My Webers are 48IDA’s the series that replaced the 48IDM’s not the 48IDA-1’s or even later 48IDA-4’s. I also did not modify the carbs with the 3rd progression hole. The engine is tuned to run not sit around and idle here and there. In/with all due respect, I’m well aware that you’ve built numerous engines over the years. I appreciate your input, and thank you.
