Reputable Engine Builder/Repairer in LA area

I have an oil leak in my Dart-block, AFR head 427 Windsor-architecture crate engine. The original builder will provide replacement parts only so I'm not interested in dealing with him, plus he is out of state. It appears to be coming from the cylinder heads (both sides) below the exhaust ports.

I've been trying to get the local installer to verify the leak(s) actual location(s) and pull the heads if needed to replace the gaskets. Note: I've done the dye check thing but I'm just an amateur, I want skilled people to do it for me). However, while a tremendously nice and knowledgeable guy, he is backed up so bad that he hasn't been able to get to me for several months now. So I need a reputable engine shop to verify and fix the leak(s).

I don't believe it is an intake manifold leak but that is part of the verification process.

The leak(s) are relatively small but I am concerned that they will get worse. Plus it is a mess that did not exist for the first year or so after installation.

Best advice- add some UV dye to your oil, and get a uv light/ glasses detection kit.

Rather than guess, you'll see exactly where the leak is coming from. If it's coming from the valve cover gaskets and leaking down, you'll know.

They also make it for coolant, worth 5x the price, IMO, all great stuff.

Thanks, but been there, done that. Inconclusive for me, mostly because some locations on the engine are hard to access and see with a UV light and engine/chassis/body parts in the way.

Which is why I was asking for a reputable shop recommendation. The few I've found so far are backed up for months or do not respond to inquiries.

Thanks anyway!
