That's ancient gas..

I've never had so much to dump, but some ancient motors like my honda z50 will run on 5 year old gas.

Other than that, you can light it in an oil drum, or find a safe spot to pour it in a drum and let it evaporate.

If you have really cheap friends, some might take a gallon or two mixed into their tank if their car is old and not picky. Over here that's a $12 gift (2 gallons)

Took her out on an 85 mile run yesterday. New plugs gapped at .044. Ran 90 octane zero ethanol, from "Speedy Stop". Running 4000 rpm at 70 mph, 4300 rpm at 80 mph. Have a 180 degree thermostat. Ran at about 190 at 70 mph and 200 at 80 mph. Never got hotter, driving her hard! No backfires except when letting off gas, to be expected. No acceleration hesitation at all! I think she still needs some tweaking?!

Backfire (through the exhaust) on deceleration is often due to an exhaust leak allowing air into the exhaust system. It could be at the header or any connections downstream from there.

I replaced the plugs. Old ones were gapped @.035.
New ones of same type, out of the box were gapped @.044.
Definitely runs better! Still needing starter fluid just to get it to turn over? Not sure why?

Look into the carb, open it wide open, are you getting an immediate accelerator pump shot of gas?

Again I say check inside the distributor cap for corrosion. That will cause backfiring and hard starting.
