357 Windsor build
I am soliciting for opinions on a build I am considering over this next year. I have a pile of parts that I would like to put to good use so here is what I am thinking. I have a '72 351w long block that ran when pulled, a set of out-of-box victor Jr heads, a sbf lemans camshaft, performer RPM intake, and a plethora of springs, carbs, rocker arms, etc.(supporting parts). Machine the block for a mild performance build, clean up and balance the crank, I have a set of 6.2" rods I can clean up and use. Buy a set of spec'd pistons for the longer rods, assemble. I am not worried about squeezing every single hp out of this setup, just using what I have for the most part and making a good street/ mild performance build. I am not new to building engines, but thought I would see what people thought before I start on this one. I think I should be good for around 450ish hp and have decent street manners. Not the best match of parts, but I don't feel it's too bad. Let me know what y'all think.
(Sorry for for the long post, trying on my phone and hard to see what all I have typed) |
