Yates c3 heads questions

I had a 427 sb built.... builder used Yates c3 38cc heads. It's a street motor with a relatively mild cam (for good street manners). It's also fuel injected (terminator x). He was going to go over everything with me about the motor.... but shortly after finishing build, he passed away. Motor put 570 hp to the ground, so I'm not worried about the motor, just trying to find out more about the heads. This was my first Ford build and I was letting the real experts handle it. I wanted a reliable, 600hp motor with good street manners that would run on pump gas. Any Yates head "gurus" here that could give me a little education on those heads?

what exactly are you wanting to know? They are basically a nascar head that flow great CFM and are more for a higher RPM from what I understand. You really need to know what valves, valve springs, etc. was installed the head to know much more. The C3 head's are usually built specific to an application so the specs could vary a lot between engines.

They are NASCAR heads designed to run on high-banked ovals at maximum engine speed for more than 500 miles. They were not designed for street applications. You are using them for a street application.
