347 stroker

I recently posted on the "shop talk" section about replacing my 302 with a Ford Racing 302 @ 345hp. After considerable research I have decided to go with the 347 stroker kit from Ford.
Has anyone used this combo? I need assistance with cam choice (specification, duration , lift, etc) I have Eldebrock Alum RPM heads, roller rockers, MSD ignition, Holley double pumper (600 cfm) I intend to "pocket port " the heads. Any thoughts, suggestions, comments would be appreciated. I have what I believe is a competent, if not excellent, machine shop guy. The car is a JCF slabside and currently does not have headers.

Thanks,

Harris

Harris,

My first engine, in this cobra, was a bored 289... now running a 347 stroker. Email me at dan_s@redseal.com (work) and I will send you a word document with all the spec's on my motor. Run's great, although my buddies 460 will kill me off the line. 383Hp and 420+ torque on 40 year old tri-power carbs...
Modern carb/induction should make 425-450Hp.
