Oil pressure????
88 302, using VDO guages. The first 300 miles it was showing
50-60 psi. The guage stopped working and I replaced the sending unit. I started her up, the guage went up to 60 psi and stopped working again. Any ideas would be great....... Load clear! |
If the gauge has a maximum reading of 60# on the face and if you "pegged" the gauge, it is possible that you are exceeding the limits of the gauge itself and damaging it internally.??? It is very possible to exceed 75# with a high volume, or high pressure pump. If it is an electrical gauge check the sending unit too.
