What cam for Webbers?

If any one is using webbers on a Ford small block 302, 331, or 347, what cam are you using? I understand webbers don't like a high lift cam. What is the best lift and duration to get? I'm building a 1968 302 small block with a 331 stroker with Canfield heads. Picking the right cam is the confusing part. Iwould like to stay with Competition Cams.

I just built a 427 stroker from an after market Dart block, AFR 205 heads and 48IDA Weber carb induction system. You need to talk with Micky at Inglese Induction sytems (www.inglese.com) and Dave at Cam Techniques (www.camtechniques.com). Cam Techniques grinds many different cams for Inglese specifically for Weber systems. The cam for my application is a Cam Techniques HR-352. The 48IDA Weber carb induction system is an isolated runner system. Without a main plenum area , common to all cylinders, the cam profile is extremely important. This weber system needs a single profile cam (int/exh lift and duration are the same) and a lobe seperation of around 110deg. A roller cam is even a better choice for it will give you better idle qualities.

Snakebit,

I'm using the following cam for my 48IDA system:

Advertised duration: 288 intake/288 exhaust
Duration @ .050 in. cam lift: 226 intake/226 exhaust
Gross valve lift: .512 intake/.512 exhaust
Lobe separation: 109 degrees intake/119 degrees exhaust
Peak horsepower rpm: 6,000
Peak torque rpm: 2,800
Fair idle

It's a Ford Motorsport roller tappets camshaft (M6250F303).

The specifications are close to the ones recommended by Inglese.

It works very well.
