aluminum flywheel/single vs. dual plane intakes???
I'm ordering a Roush 402. There is an option of an aluminum flywheel(it comes with a steel FW) for $350.
What are the pros and cons of aluminum over steel for flywheels?
While I've got your attention, how about the single plan vs. dual plan intake manifolds?

The aluminum flywheel will reduce the rotational inertia of the drivetrain allowing it to accellerate quicker. The engine will feel more responsive. The down side is that if you have a very aggressive clutch package you may find it difficult to pull away from a stop smoothly without slipping the clutch a lot. I have an aluminum flywheel in mine with a Kevlar faced disc and it is not at all bad to drive until you get the clutch hot then it'll grab. If you're building a cruiser get the steel flywheel if you are going to be racing at all go with the aluminum one. Either way get a scattershield (blow proof bellhousing).

I have the aluminum flywheel in my Cobra and I like it alot. The car is light enough that it acts fine when pulling out of a stop. I had an aluminum flywheel in my 69 Mach and did not like it at all I went back to the steel flywheel quickly.
As far as the intake goes if your buying a Roush motor just put on it what they tell you. They will know the deal.

With a car as light as a cobra, there is no downside to an aluminum flywheel. (That happens when you get a 3600 lb car with 2.73 gears)

Single plane intakes are better performers in the higher RPM ranges, where a dual plane is more "streetable" allowing better throttle response in the lower to mid RPM ranges.
