SBF Clearance between Fuel Pump & Oil Filter
A little help from the Gurus out there. I have a 351W and I am using an Edelbrock Mechanical Fuel Pump. On the pump the outlet to the Carb is on the front of the pump, no problem. However, the inlet from the fuel line is on the back of the pump and appears to interfere with the oil filter. I have an AN 90 degree EL and I haven't installed it into the fuel pump, but it seems that there won't be enough clearance to clear the Oil filter.
Am I missing something here? Any help will be appreciated. BTW I have thought about using a remote oil filter relocator kit, possibly that will solve the problem Tony |
Tony;
Not sure about your pump not knowing exactly which one you have,but, Carter and Edelbrock mechanical pumps can be taken apart and the top or bottom turned to relocate the inlet and outlet if neccassary...Check with the manufacter on this,it may be a simple fix as little as turning the top half or bottm half to suit your needs.... I had to do just that with my Carter pump to give more clearance around the oil filter..... David |
